I have been sick for a while, so my review of Assassins Creed III is a little late, but as they say, better late than never! Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed franchise is one I have liked since the very beginning.  Despite flaws here or there in gameplay, the overall experiences and scope of the worlds in which you play have always been impressive.  The sci fi element of the story has always been s... more.

The multiplayer mode for the upcoming Wii U launch title, ZombiU, has been detailed by the folks over at ONM, with the developers describing it as "hell within hell, " though the place gamers will spend most of their time while in multiplayer is officially called: "St. George's Yard." Set within the confines of London during a zombie outbreak, the director of ZombiU's development at Ubisoft, Ga... more.

Director of production for Splinter Cell: Blacklist over at Ubisoft, David Footman, has admitted that the game isn't about stealth like the early Sam Fisher games, but about "stealth, action and adventure." The direction the series has taken has continually angered fans of the original titles, with the last one: Splinter Cell: Conviction, drawing plenty of ire. With the upcoming release of Blac... more.

Yup, according to author John Beiswenger, Ubisoft blatantly infringed upon a significant part of his book Link, published in 2003…but perhaps it’s indicative of something else – the space for original ideas has shrunk, causing inevitable overlap among creative types.  Or, it could just be that Beiswenger found a semi-plausible reason to achieve his dream of becoming a millionaire and is tak... more.

By now, many of us have had the chance to play through Assassin’s Creed: Revelations at least once, and I don’t know about you, but installments in the Assassin’s Creed series leave me wanting more.  Fortunately, we don’t have long to wait before Ubisoft delivers yet another sequel! Ubisoft announced to investors that Assassin’s Creed III will hit stores October 30th, less than o... more.

Apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic movies are by far my most preferred type.  The sheer chaos and lack of rules set these movies apart from others in within the action genre, bringing a new definition to humanity and brutality.   Movies like I Am Legend, 2012, Independence Day, The Book of Eli, War of the Worlds…they show the great lengths people will go to benefit mankind or help destroy it. ... more.

Let's face it: Ubisoft has big problems with its DRM policy. Just recently it was offering refunds for From Dust. Players weren't happy that in order to play a single-player game they had to be online all the time. Before that, it was Assassin's Creed 2 and Silent Hunter 5. I understand, they want to protect their intellectual property. But at what cost? Now Uplay is a different beast altogethe... more.

Gamers were in uproar when they downloaded Ubisoft’s god game From Dust only to discover that the game’s DRM (digital rights management) software meant they had to be online to authenticate the game... not just once but every single time they wanted to play. Yesterday, Ubisoft responded to the backlash by saying that it would be removing the DRM from the game entirely and that a patch would... more.

Hawx is an arcade style fighter game taking place in the first or third person. The story follows a US pilot as he is recruited by a private military contractor. At first working for the good guys before becoming a bit more interesting. For this review we tested the game on the Playstation 3 (PS3) format.  Missions normally involve protecting an allied unit, maintaining a defensive perimeter or d... more.
