Up until now, Nintendo has more or less owned the market on console mascot fighting games with its Super Smash Bros series. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is Sony's attempt at throwing its hat into the ring with a fighter of its own that celebrates the history of the PlayStation. Despite its unnecessarily long winded name, I feel it succeeds at being a worthy entry into this particularly ... more.

I have been sick for a while, so my review of Assassins Creed III is a little late, but as they say, better late than never! Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed franchise is one I have liked since the very beginning. Despite flaws here or there in gameplay, the overall experiences and scope of the worlds in which you play have always been impressive. The sci fi element of the story has always been s... more.

After a little bit of a hiatus , I return, I have a couple of older reviews to catch up on but will hopefully be up to date soon. First, let's start with Resident Evil 6, Capcom's most recent installation in its popular horror series. As I have a tendency to do, allow me to qualify my opinion in saying that I've never been that big of a fan of the Resident Evil series. I played the original a... more.

With Borderlands 2, Gearbox Software releases a sequel to its popular FPS RPG that improves in many ways on the original. The original was successful largely due to its stylized look and irreverent sense of humor, and there's much more of the same here. The game opens with a narration explaining what's happened since the original Vault Hunters from the first game opened the vault to reveal the... more.

There will be two versions of the game as well according to CVG, one is currently titled simply the "Pre-order edition," though presumably it'll change t... more.

Dead or Alive 5 sees Team Ninja unleash their porcelain doll characters with sentient flans strapped to their chests, back to the fighting arena. I've only really had two run-ins with the Dead or Alive franchise before now. The first being Dead or Alive 2 Hardcore and the second being a relatively brief session of watching a friend try out Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball. The latter of whi... more.

Along with providing a fantastically alliterative headline, the special edition for the Walking Dead game from Telltale comes with the compendium of comics, collecting issues 1-48 of the comic series. Unfortunately for now, this is a US only release in GameStop, but I'd be surprised if an EU edition wasn't announced soon. Currently set for release on 4th December and priced at $69.99 (£43) th... more.

There's been a lot of speculation over the past six months, that the upcoming generation of consoles from Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony, will be the last the big three ever produce. The growth of mobile gaming, the sheer ridiculous numbers of people that now participate in social games, increased competition from the Ouya and Valve's Big Picture, makes it seem like a potential reality. Ben Cousi... more.

While it's not been given the thumbs up by Bethesda, fan of Skyrim, Mardoxx, has been digging around in the 1.8 beta source code and discovered what appears to be clues that the next DLC update for the Elder Scrolls game will let players ride dragons. Said to be called Dragonborn, the upcoming and unannounced DLC will also apparently add the ability for dual magic casting from horseback and whi... more.

The Tekken series was the first fighting game franchise that I fell in love with. I had played games like Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, etc. before but when I first played Tekken 2 I was instantly hooked on it and have since owned every subsequent game. Not every entry has been stellar but overall I've generally enjoyed each game in the series. That being said, Namco Bandai's latest entry in... more.
