The Annual Interactive Achievement Awards named The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim winner of five awards – Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Story, Role-Playing/MMO Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Gameplay Engineering, and Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction. The award ceremony also saw big wins for Unchartered 3: Drake’s Deception and Portal 2. Skyrim, Drake’s Deception, and Portal 2 received acclaim at Spike TV’s Video Game Awards as well. Portal 2 did particularly well, coming away with Best PC Game, Best Multiplayer, Best Performance by a Human Male (for Stephen Merchant as Wheatley), Best Performance by a Human Female (for Ellen McLain as GLaDOS), and Best DLC.
KitGuru says: Since The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is so highly regarded and winner of Game of the Year by both Spike’s Video Game Awards and the Annual Interactive Achievement Awards, we fully expect the British Academy Video Game Awards to bestow multiple awards (including GAME Award of 2011) to this masterpiece.
