A new bit of information has appeared for the hotly anticipated GTA V, unveiling that the protagonist for the game will be a retired East Coast gangster that was attempting to leave his life of crime behind; but it doesn’t go to plan.
This was unearthed by CVG in the latest issue of ShortList Magazine. The mag reads: ”The protagonist is an East Coast gangster” who went to Los Santos to get away from his old life. “But, as in The Godfather III – just as he thought he was out, they pulled him back in.”
More details are expected to be unveiled about the game later today in Game Informer magazine, which goes on sale 11AM Central Time (5PM GMT). It will include an 18 page preview of the game, offering up details on the setting, characters, gameplay and what fans of the series can expect.
GTA V is currently set for a Spring 2013 release on Xbox 360 and PS3, with the PC version expected to be delayed until later in the year.
KitGuru Says: Gotta admit, I wasn’t a fan of the last GTA game. It was immersive, but despite earning boat loads of cash, there was nothing to do with it. No businesses to buy, no cars to mod. Hopefully GTA V brings back some of those elements that made Vice City so fantastic.

It seems that Rockstar are once again copying movies, this time they aren’t hiding it.
They always did have a problem with money – they fixed the $1000 ‘give em a ride’ missions in the beginning of San Andreas. But you always end up with a million$ by the end. I used to be a big fan, modding the files and everything.

I mean they gave $0 and some respect in the early missions of GTASA, not $1000 for a ride.
