Yesterday at Kitguru we were sent some further details and a projected release date for Battlefield 3. We awaited the release of the E3 trailer, and the EA press conference at E3 before posting this article. The “Operation Metro Multiplayer Gameplay Trailer” was featured at E3, and “Thunder Run” released today. Let’s take a look at both, Thunder Run is over 8 minutes in length. So grab your favorite beverage and enjoy!
Battlefield 3 is set for release October 25th, on the PC, PS3 and XBox 360 platforms. As seen in the trailers the new Frostbite 2 engine is the primary emphasis. Both multiplayer and single player campaigns are reportedly improved in the new release, and we have just witnessed some of it. In addition to the trailers, EA has also announced a Multi-platform Beta program starting in September. We will leave you with a few words preceding E3 from Patrick Bach, Executive Producer:
“We are proud to finally open the curtains and reveal Battlefield 3. The core development team has been together since 2005. We’ve grown together, taken some knocks together and now, we’re ready to take first person shooters to a whole new level, together. Like so many gamers out there, we’ve had some pretty wild ideas about what we’d want to see in a shooter. Until now, it was all just fantasy. But with Frostbite 2, even our most far-reaching ideas are becoming a reality. This is the game we’ve always wanted to create.”
Kitguru says: Anyone planning on getting their feet wet with the Beta?
