BioWare, the developer behind Mass Effect and Dragon Age series has announced at GamesCom today it is working on a free-to-play MMO titled Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes. Based on moderately successful Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, the new game will rely heavily on arena-based PvP combat. We are promised three races and encounters with up to 18 players, as well as opportunity to change heroes mid-match. A word of warning – while Age of Reconing is a dark, serious and realistic game, Wrath of Heroes uses cell-shading, an acid color palette, and generally focuses on the wacky side of the Warhammer universe. The game is due for release this autumn.
