If you’ve been eagerly anticipating playing Defiance, an MMO FPS that pits humans vs aliens in a full on PvP war, then the next few days are going to be quite exciting for you. Starting 18th January at 8am PST (4pm GMT) and ending on 20th January at 9pm PST (5am GMT) you’ll be able to slay aliens and humans alike in a short public beta event.
Anyone can joint in as long as they have a beta key. Fortunately they are freely available to those that visit the Defiance Fileplay site, where you only need to sign up for a Trion Worlds account and register your interest to gain access. The beta client should be linked to you in an email shortly after, allowing you to preload the game in preparation for its unveiling.

If you like the look of the game but don’t quite fancy playing it yourself, you don’t necessarily have to in order to keep up with the ongoing story. In an interesting move Trion is making a tie in TV show that will begin in the middle of April this year.
KitGuru Says: TV show and gameplay could make for interesting cross overs. What if they had big name players show up in the TV show? That would be one way to get people to take part in big events.
