Well why else would you buy up one of the most cult favourite PC titles of the past decade and a half if not to remake them? Well... make a sequel namely, but at least this is a step in the right direction. Gearbox announced over the weekend that it would be releasing newly remade HD versions of the original Homeworld and its sequel. The originals (without HD upgrade) will also be made availabl... more.
  • Magicka Wizard Wars trailer shows creative death dealing

Magicka was a fun game while it lasted, even if it was - and still is - bug ridden with network errors making COOP nigh on impossible for some . However, a lot of the fun in it came from "accidentally" killing your friends in the middle of arena fights. In the upcoming Magicka: Wizard Wars, showcased in this new trailer, you'll get to do a whole lot more of that. As you can see from the lat... more.
  • Which racing games had the best turbos?

I won't pretend to be a massive racing game fan, especially when it comes to simulations. I suck really hard at those and try to steer clear. Throw in some nice cars, pretty environments and a arcade style driving mechanic however and I'm all in - especially if the vehicles have a decent turbo function. Now a lot of games have turbo or boosts of some kind, but not many of them manage to satisfy... more.
  • Minecraft + DayZ in new Kickstarter is impressive

As long as the world isn't too bored of zombies and Minecraft, I don't think these guys will have any problems reaching their funding goal of $200,000 within the next month. The game features all the crafting, building and mining of Minecraft, with a survival system that mixes DayZ scavenging and Left 4 Dead zombie slaying in one epic looking indie title. Called 7 Days to Die: The Survival Hord... more.
  • Battlefield 4 might support more than 70 players at once

0 CommentsPosted by on July 18, 2013 under Featured, PC Gaming
Traditionally, PC games have had higher multiplayer player counts than their console counter parts. However in most games, that total has been limited to 32 per team, or 64 in total. A new rumour has surfaced however, that suggests there could be up to 70 players in the average online game in Battlefield 4. While officially, BF4 already supports 66 players thanks to the usual 64 + 2 commanders,... more.
  • Forza 5 has a day one patch, four months before release

0 CommentsPosted by on July 17, 2013 under Xbox One
Forza 5, it has been announced, will require a day one patch, which you'll need to download before the game will work properly. This is said to be due to the late-in-production addition of the offline drivatar feature, as well as extra cars and maps. This means that technically, several months before it's released, Forza already needs a day one patch. However, while this might seem like the dev... more.

  • Sony ending SOCOM online support

If you're still playing the 2009 third person shooter, SOCOM: Navy Seals Confrontation, or SOCOM 4 from 2011, you don't have much longer to enjoy their online experiences, as Sony is set to close the servers down within the next six months, the Japanese game firm has announced. Zipper interactive's MAG is also getting the axe around the same time, though at least with that one there's no develo... more.
  • In GTA V, you get a dog

That's right guys, GTA V has gone all Call of Duty: Ghosts on us and is introducing a dog into the game. You'll have to look after it to some extent and can even lose if it you're negligent, so make sure you don't leave it in the car on a hot day and that you close the door of the safe house behind you on your way out to massacre. Fans unearthed this (thanks CVG) in a recent release of the Japa... more.

A load of footage from the upcoming remake of cult classic sidescroller, Flashback, has been released, showing how the gameplay has been updated from the 1992 version, but also how faithfully the original creator, Paul Cuisset, has recreated it for a modern audience. There's the obvious graphical overhaul, bringing the game squarely into the 21st century. However the side scrolling style is... more.
