That’s right folks, we haven’t seen the last of Master Chief just yet. He’ll be making a triumphant return on the Xbox One, though not for a long time to come. “Halo for Xbox One,” isn’t set for release until the end of 2014 – though you can pre-order now… you know, if you’re silly.
We heard about this game for the first time at E3 this year, with the big reveal trailer for Master Chief and his long-running Xbox franchise, though it didn’t tell us much about the game beyond the fact that he’d be taking on some truly huge robots.
However, now a screenshot of the Microsoft store (grabbed by AGB) has given us a couple more details about what to expect when we finally get our hands on the next instalment in the Halo universe. Listed at $59.99 and available for pre-order, it suggests that “Master Chief continues his hero’s quest,” and that the new game will take “the now legendary saga to new heights and is one of the most anticipated games for the new console.”
“Most anticipated,” might be pushing it a bit much.
It goes on to give some plot details however, saying that: “In possession of a mysterious data chip, Petty Officer John-117, aka Master Chief, confronts a new battery of challenges and tests in a Herculean effort to stay alive in a galaxy where sentient life is mercilessly hunted.”
KitGuru Says: Sounds intriguing. But I feel this would make more sense to me if I’d played a few more Halo games. That last one I completed was 3. Am I missing out on much?
