1337bit (pronounced Elite Bit) has created a new iPhone game called EggsEggsEggs. The game introduces a new and exciting way of playing games on the iPhone using motion sensor technology. The easiest way to describe this game would be to compare it to Nintendo Wii game play. You can choose your egg (weapon) from the inventory of 70 different types with various stats – hit points, attack points etc.
The gameplay is pretty simple; start an online match or a Bluetooth connection and wait for the opponent. After pairing, SWING your iPhone holding it firmly in your hand and try to gain as much momentum as you can. A counter shows how hard did you swing/hit and how much armour you have left. The goal is to break the opponent’s egg before she/he breaks yours. If you win you get to keep the opponents egg, if you lose your egg goes to the opponent.
There are 70 differently ‘painted’ battle eggs to choose from. The eggs are divided in 5 main categories and each has their distinctive qualities. There are collectable and branded sets like “Sports“, “Food“, “Science“, “Music” and others will be introduced gradually. The game encourages you to collect and combine different sets of eggs by winning matches. If you lose all of your eggs in matches, it is possible to purchase new eggs in the EggStore.
There are three different types of gameplay: Online death match, Bluetooth Proximity game and the single player game. Each of the games has their own scoreboard to increase the competition inside the game.
The game runs on a iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, and requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later. EggsEggsEggs 1.0 is $1.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Games category.
