Video games are a widely contested form of entertainment, and there is no exception when it comes to the pioneers of the video game world versus modern day video game creators. Among the video game pioneers, the consensus is that modern video games are “appalling,” an “abomination.” Jerry Lawson, creator of the game cartridge, said he doesn’t play video games much: “First of... more. -

At Access PlayStation last week, KitGuru had an opportunity to play Golden Eye: Reloaded. My, did we feel nostalgic. Reloaded is a high-definition port of a Wii reimagining of a Nintendo 64 game. And it's true to its roots. Original GoldenEye was a much celebrated, universally appealing, endearingly simple first-person shooter. It was based on what's considered to be one of the best films of th... more. -

Let's face it: Ubisoft has big problems with its DRM policy. Just recently it was offering refunds for From Dust. Players weren't happy that in order to play a single-player game they had to be online all the time. Before that, it was Assassin's Creed 2 and Silent Hunter 5. I understand, they want to protect their intellectual property. But at what cost? Now Uplay is a different beast altogethe... more. -

You might have read our review of the Battlefield 3 multiplayer. I think it's only fair if we cover its main competitor - the heavyweight champion of first person shooters, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. In response to quite an aggressive PR campaign by EA, Activision (publisher behind Call of Duty series) has organised a whole two-day event in Los-Angeles. They have called it COD XP, and it is c... more. -
