Not a great game, but you will occasionally have fun. I was waiting anxiously for Space Marine. I gave in to the hype, to the advertising, to the epic trailers, screenshots and a life-size Utramarine walking around Gamescom. I always liked the WH40K universe, with its distinct art style and technology design, but you would never find me playing the real tabletop thing. Figurines and heavy tome... more.
  • Bodycount Review (Xbox 360)

Every so often we hear about a first person shooter that's supposed to break away from the traditional Call of Duty and Battlefield style games that have dominated the market for the most part. Codemasters' Bodycount was aiming just for that - the name itself suggests that you're going to kill more people than Jim Jones in a Kool-Aid store. Sadly, this title is too slowly paced and unpolished to q... more.
  • Space Pirates and Zombies PC Review

Space, pirates and zombies are all awesome by themselves, so why not bring them together? This is the idea that the two developers at indie dev MinMax Games had, and the end result isn't half bad. Space Pirates and Zombies puts the gamer in control of a rogue pirate group searching for riches in a highly populated galaxy. Opposing factions don't get along too well, so you'll need to use strategic... more.

Tired of role-playing games that treat you like a six-year-old? Sick of being an errand boy, carrying messages and killing X number of monsters, while painfully familiar dungeon walls blur in the background? Does your finger hurt from clicking? In Temeria, things are done differently. Here, characters swear like sailors and drink like fish, heads roll and ladies lose their clothes. Kings wage ... more.
  • Dungeon Siege 3 Review (PC)

Diablo was one of my favourite games of all time. The overall concept and execution was ground breaking and it built up a huge cult following. Falling in the shadows was Dungeon Siege, another 'dungeon crawler' style game which while buggy was also a tremendous amount of fun. The latest title in the series, Dungeon Siege 3 was released last week and hopefully will help drive sales and satisfy the ... more.
  • Darkspore Review (PC)

DarkSpore is not about cute creatures and falling in love. There is no evolving from a single cell organism to a cool and level headed ruler of the galaxy. Darkspore is a science fiction role playing game with no real connection to the original game which was such a huge success for Electronic Arts. Spore was a very original game which appealed to both kids and grandmothers, but this latest offeri... more.
  • Portal 2 Review (PC)

Portal was an incredible success when it was released in 2007. It was a witty, charming, addictive romp through a virtual puzzle world. The puzzle design was inspired, forcing gamers to think laterally. With 19 test rooms and a final battle with the sarcastic computer AI GlaDOS it was awarded game of the year by many publications and still remains in the list of top ten PC titles of all time for m... more.
  • Shift 2 Unleashed (PC) Review

Shift was a classic title, I played it for months. For me this is a big deal as I find most racing games about as appealing as putting my hand in a blender. Shift 2 is a great game, which I had a blast reviewing over the last week. Electronic Arts have clearly placed a lot of time and effort into developing the new title, and trying to find a niche market which isn't directly competing against ... more.
  • Dragon Age 2 (PC) Review

BioWare have been producing some of the finest games in recent years. If like me, you dedicated several months of your life to Mass Effect 2, then we all had high hopes for Dragon Age 2. Is the game worth the money? For the last two weeks I have been playing Dragon Age 2, playing all the side missions, and trying to find all the hidden Easter Eggs throughout the maps. I feel in a good position ... more.
  • Bulletstorm Review (PC)

Bulletstorm was released on the console and PC platforms last week. Today we are looking at the PC version which is actually a hell of a lot of fun. The game is set to appeal to a wide audience, because it doesn't take itself too seriously, rather poking fun at the modernday seriousness of first person shooters. Think Duke Nukem with a group of swearing, tough as nails marines and an inventive, ad... more.
