Pandas in Warcraft?!! How…unexpected. Last month, the 4th expansion for World of Warcraft was announced – Mists of Pandaria. The Blizzcon 2011 trailer depicts the new race – Pandaren (pandas, essentially) – in a new Asian-themed land – Pandaria. What?!! This is what WoW shows gamers just weeks before the release of Star Wars: The Old Republic? The Blizzcon trailer featuring fight... more. -

The highly anticipated Star Wars: The Old Republic MMORPG is almost here! Less than a month away (December 20th), it takes place in a war between the Republic and the Empire, 300 years after the Xbox game Knights of the Old Republic. Knights of the Old Republic was highly successful, integrating individual choices for alignment with the Dark or Light sides. One of such choices involved kil... more. -
MDK2 HD on sale

MDK2 was released 11 years ago, and I remember it as the best platform arcade experience I have ever had in my life. Colourful, lightning quick, and decisively insane. Completely original. Blurring line between genres, and making you laugh until it hurts. The game was a cult classic, and in case you (for the reasons I can't imagine) are not familiar with it, we have good news. It's back in HD... more. -
Commandos in Libya

Have you ever watched this year's Libyan conflict and thought "I should be there"? Now, you can. Today saw a release of Global Ops: Commando Libya, developed for PC by Polish Spectral Games, and published by Kalypso Media USA. It is in no way connected to Global Ops released by Barking Dog/EA in 2002. Since the game refers to the events of this spring and summer, we presume Spectral Games did n... more. -

Mass Effect 3 didn't draw big crowds at Eurogamer. The game was due for release this year, but had to be rescheduled for March 6, 2012. That's a long time to wait, with plenty of huge games coming out between now and then. Besides, the playable demo on offer was the one you might have seen at E3 in June. Well, we haven't been to E3, so here are our fresh impressions. The game feels great. It's... more. -

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was a pleasant surprise announced by Valve in August. But even more surprising is that developers will bring Counter Strike to both PC and consoles. To top it off, PC, Macs and PS3 will get cross-platform multiplayer. Sounds ambitious? First of all, the queue for CS:GO at Eurogamer Expo was enormous. This was the first showing of the demo in Europe, the staff ... more. -

Max Payne 3: Debut Trailer

Let me start this off with a declaration: Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne is my favourite game ever. I love it. I have played through it more times than any other game. I hereby abandon all attempts at objectivity for the duration of this article. Max Payne, an atmospheric third-person shooter, came out a decade ago and earned instant cult status. The game was ahead of its time. It was dark,... more. -
World of Planes: new trailer

Developers from Russian studio Gaijin Entertainment have released a new trailer for the World War II themed aerial multiplayer action World of Planes. This project follows the familiar formula seen in World of Tanks. The game will feature more than a hundred historically accurate flying machines, upgradeable equipment and team-based combat. But its defining feature is that it will be available for... more. -

Since we are talking about giant humanoid robots, there is another game you should know about. Hawken, developed by Adhesive Games, is famous for its first trailer which "could melt faces at 100 paces” (EuroGamer). Last week at PAX prime, they released another one. It looks like even if MechWarrior is stuck in development hell, we are going to have ourselves a Mech game. Evidence below: ... more.
